Flatlands is a fairly suburban area, small, quiet, residential oasis near
the middle of the borough. Flatlands is extremely far from Manhattan, so
commuting could be a big problem.

Flatlands is home of Canarsee Indians who are residing in
this area for decades. Flatlands is also inhabited by Irish, Italian, and
Jewish-American immigrants. Recently the immigrants from Jamaica, Haiti, and
Guyana are moving to Flatlands.

Flatlands is 90 minutes from Manhattan. No subway in flatlands. Bus is
the best way for transportation. Buses 7, 6, 82, 41, 100, 41, and 78 serves
