Ozone Park is a neighborhood which is adjacent to the Jamaica Bay, and its original name was derived from the air that would blow off bay and ocean.  Ozone Park has always been known as as the place where the horses ran, probably because it was originally home to two race tracks.  Today, Ozone Park is still home to horse racing which can been seen at the Aqueduct Racetrack.  The main shopping districts in Ozone Park are on Atlantic Avenue and 101st Avenue. Residing in Ozone Park could get rather noisy because it located close to JFK airport.

Ozone Park was primarily made up of Italian immigrant as well as other nationalities, who all posses strong middle class family values. Today, Ozone Park is home to many other ethnic groups including Latino, Irish, and Germans.
